This patina formula expands upon the White Bismuth Nitrate formula from September.  It can be used only on Bronze, Brass, and Copper using the hot technique for application.  When applied, this interesting patina will make your surface appear like multicolored granite.  To make this patina, you will need to create the following three different patina solutions separately:

            1.  Add 1tsp. Ferric Nitrate to 16oz. of the White Patina Formula (White).

            2.  Add 2tsp. Ferric Nitrate and 2tsp. Titanium Dioxide to 1 pint (16oz.) of distilled water.

            3.  Add 2tsp. Ferric Nitrate and 1tsp. of Potassium Dichromate to 1 pint (16oz.) of distilled water.

Each solution will be a different shade ranging from tan to slightly brown-orange.   Place each solution in a manual spray bottle that allows you to change from fine to large droplets.

First sand your surface until it has a slight tooth to it.  Next, heat the surface of the metal with a torch and spray on the first mixture.  Repeat this process with the next two solutions always keeping the metal hot.  Keep layering and alternating the patinas as well as the size of the droplets until you achieve the patina you desire.  Finally, while the metal is still warm, spray on a layer of lacquer.  This will prevent your patina from darkening when you apply a wax to the metal.

Here is a example of what this patina looks like on one of my pieces:
